I noticed this feature today, then saw an ad for BMW about this feature.
Select a location on Google Maps > Send to> Car> Audi, BMW, Citroen, Hyundai, Infiniti, MINI, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Rolls-Royce
Has anyone sent a POI to their car yet?
Checked the google link
Looked at the google link on the map. It looked like a great thing. They need to get a longer list of cars. Must be something the car dealers do or the makers of the GPS in the cars. It asked for an account number when I looked at what it did.
Maybe they will add more cars later???

It works for Garmin PNDs too.

It works for Garmin PNDs too. But you can use that same choice without a Garmin PND connected, with just an SD card installed. After seven mouse clicks, a redirect to a Garmin.com webpage, and about 14 seconds later, you get a single address in a .GPX file. Not very efficient.
MapQuest can send entire routes
I just noticed that MapQuest can send a route created in MapQuest to car (GM Onstar or Ford Synch) or to Garmin (.GPX file), with your choice of a series of waypoints or the entire route, and this process requires fewer steps (and is faster) than the similar process in google maps (which AFAIK can only send single address points without logging into google, saving the map, or going through a third party website/utility - i.e.: more trouble than it may be worth). Sending (saving) a multi-point route from MapQuest as a .GPX file is quick and easy.
