2013 Models?

I'm in the market for a new nuvi. My 260W is on its last leg. Thought about buying a 3490LMT but the price hasn't dropped yet, and new models must be announced soon.

Any word on when the 2013 models will arrive? Past release dates were in early November. Wonder what new features they will offer. Any ideas?

$263.99

The lowest price I have seen on the 3490LMT is 263.99 for a factory refurb (YourElectronZone fulfilled by Amazon). There will probably be some better prices as we approach Black Friday.

As far as new models, I haven't read about anything in the works except the new 7" Dezl. It does seem like the 2012 nuvi lineup is getting a little stale.

At one recent point in time . . .

At one recent point in time I thought I would have to replace my 3760 because the display started to separate from its inner layers and looked cracked and it was two months out of warranty. I was set to buy the 3490LMT because of the faster microprocessor, digital traffic enhancements, etc.

It turned out that Garmin warranted my repair and was a refurb unit. The unit I got back seemed to have fasteresponsece time with screen updates and button presses, so I may have gotten a newer one with an updated micro in it.

The refurb priceattractivetive.

Thanks for the heads up. I Pressed buy for a refurbed Garmin 2595LMT- Wally World, $160.
