No problem importing POIs into S&T 2010 on my XP desktop.
On my Win 7 laptop I get error - class not registered.
Help please.

Windows 7 Issue
It's most likely a Win7 issue. If you search the web for the phrase "class not registered" (with the quote marks), you will find many discussions like this one: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-p...

I ran sfc and it found several corrupted files.
Like you said, many discussions, but few answers.
I'm attacking the corrupted files one by one.
