Garmin Nuvi 500 Vehicle Power Cable

Has anybody else here had a problem with their vehicle power cable? The reason I ask is my wife told me that the vehicle power cable for her Garmin Nuvi 500 was no longer working. Upon closer examination it appears as if the wire inside the plastic insulation may have broken. I also noticed that the plastic on that particular power cable seems much stiffer than the plastic insulation on other Garmin vehicle power cables I have. I think the problem is when she isn't using it she would wrap the cable around the Nuvi and I think with the stiff plastic is eventually broke the wires inside. Anyway, I am just wondering others have ran into this problem.

Also, does anybody happen to know the part number of the replacement cable. I went here and it looks like there are LOTS of Garmin vehicle power cables! I Didn't realize that they made so many different vehicle power cables. http://support.garmin.com/search/shopResults.faces?q=vehicle...
