Not enough space on my 1490LMT to load camera files

i have the 2013.10 maps.

i downloaded the speed + redlight camera files form this site.

There's not enough space to save the files on my 1490. i had to save it to the SD card.

but everytime i start my car, the Nuvi would ask if i want to xfer the poi files to the Garmin. It's an annoying extra step to press the NO button before i can pick a route.

THe unused voice files are already on the SD card to make room for the 2013.10 map.

What else can i move over to the SD card?

.

The JCV file is a good one to move.

JCV FIle

That is the only file that I have on the SD card. I have lots of room for the lower 48 & poi s on my 1490 memory.

If you only speak English. Did you remove all the help files, all other languages, all other keyboard files and all other voice files?

You can also remove all .sum files, and all files in the text folder except the ones starting with 'en'.

Move the JCV file

I would definitely move the .JCV file. Better yet, remove the small one from your internal memory, download the large one and put that on your SD card.

I removed extra voices, text

I removed extra voices, text and keyboard files and have enough for the canada and us map and poi's with about 100 MB left over.

I know as the map grows I will need to split part to my memory card, but it fits for now.

Moved help files. Worked!

moved the help files other than english onto the SD card.

redlight and speed poi file loaded onto the 1490!

no more annoying extra step when i start the car.

THX!!!

Moved?

Delete them. I have never found them useful, other than taking up space. You did back up your Unit? If so you can always grab the English help file if you really need it later.
