Storms ran thru and lost power for 18 hours.

I have never seen anything like that storm on Friday night in MD. Lucky that only lost power for a few hours. Trees down all over the place

We lost power..
..on Friday afternoon about 5:30 and didn't get it back until Saturday afternoon. Luckier than most folks I guess. Virginia and Maryland got hit pretty good. But, the 4th is almost here and we are celebrating our freedom. Happy 4th of July everyone.

Doing nothing at work this week but fighting XP Mode and some old software onto some work stations. Lots of configuring and troubleshooting. It appears that every machine has decided to have different problems. I guess that's why I'm doing this and not someone else here.

Preparing for my Phoenix to Las Vegas commute. It sprinkled here in Phoenix this morning. Nothing to end the drought or cause a flashflood, but enough to ruin the clean car look after a carwash.

In addition we have a strange Bluebird in our back yard. She's been flying into our windows for over a week now and perching on our window sill and chirping at us when we go by the window. I decided to check her house and found it wet and full of earwig bugs. I cleaned it out and the next day she got busy with a nice new nest. Hope she quits waking me up at 5 AM now.
