Is it Possible to copy My Favorites from Nuvi 350 to Nuvi 360?

I have a Garmin Nuvi 350 and recently purchased a Nuvi 360. Is it possible to copy all of the entries in My Locations-Favorites to my new Nuvi 360? Since I have quite an extensive list it will take quite some time to re-enter each favorite location separately. Can the entries be copied to my PC and then transfered to the new 360 or to the SD card and loaded onto the 360?

Transferr from 350 to 360

I don't see why not - it will be in the Garmin folder on the 360 - file named current

Is it Possible to copy My Favorites from Nuvi 350 to Nuvi 360?

Slightly longer answer:

In the folder /Garmin/gpx on your nüvi you'll find a file called 'current.gpx'. That's the file that contains your favorites. If you copy this file off of your old unit and look at it in a text editor you should find your favourites in GPX format. Move this file to the same place in your new unit.

Before you do that you might want to back up your new device completely: copy all the files off of it into a new folder on your computer. Of if you have a Macintosh you can make a disk image of the Nuvi which will take up less space and make it easier to restore the files if you ever need to.

Thanks.

Thanks for the information, it saved me a lot of time from having to re-input all those addr.

Thanks.

Your information pointed me to the exact file and was a tremendous help it getting everything copied over to the new 360. Also, thanks for the tip on backing up the 360 before attempting any changes. According to Garmin if the software gets messed up the only solution is to return the unit to them for re-programming which involves 2-3 weeks of down time. Thanks again.
