newer Garmins and 1 mile increment and strange behaving odometer, can I get 0.1 mile read out?

I had a 255w and that one read down to 0.1 mile and with that resolution, how it rounded didn't really matter.

My 1350 will show "next turn in 1.2 miles" and such so I know the internally its able to resolve it, but for whatever reason, the odometer will no longer read to tenth of a mile and I don't like the way it rounds.

It rounds to next nearest reading when the internal count reads over 0.5 as I've discovered from comparing against car's odometer.

So, if I reset it and drive, it will actually flip to one mile at 0.5 to 0.6 mile.

0.1mile read out was useful for odometer calibration and mileage check. Is there anyway to get into 0.1mile reading or do I have to use my old 200 for that? (sold the 255W)

Strange behavior

I'm sorry to hear that the 1350 doesn't show the mileage down to the .1 increments. I was considering picking up this unit. Thanks for mentioning this issue, I won't be picking it up now.

Thanks. Never noticed that

Thanks. Never noticed that on my 1350.

What do you mean its "fine" ? Mine is "fine" too. It's just that it no longer shows 1/10 mile in the trip odometer.

SW Version specific

Do you think that this issue is specific to the software version that's installed on the 1305?

Probably just "newer" units?

My old GPS-V reads out to .1 mile per hour on teh speed display, but my Dezl 465T and 560LMT both only read to 1 MPH. Perhaps Garmin thinks we no longer need that much precision?

to the tenth

Both the 765T and Zumo 665 have tenths on the odometer.

.

Have you pressed the Speed button on the map screen? It will take you to the page where you can get it all in increments.

Remember?

Yes, and that does not give me the info. It shows "mileage" and displays in whole mile increment.

NUVI40

My NUVI40 shows it just fine.
