WAV Volume

My alert .wav files are not as loud as the voices. Is there a way to increase the volume of the wav files while not increasing the volume of the voices?

You can't do that from GPS

You can't do that from GPS setting. What I did I opened .wav file with an audio editor program (there are so many free ones), increased the volume, saved the file and imported it to GPS using the same method as always. I have to admit that I had to adjust the volume a few times until I got what I wanted - a little louder than navigation commands.

I downloaded a couple and they want to force me to download other stuff. Do you have a favorite editor?

It's not free but it's reasonably priced and a full license has lifetime updates.

Probably the best-known free editor is Audacity
