Finally have both of my GPSs 3790LMT and 2595LMT backed up.

Hopefully

Hopefully they include the hidden folder called .system which contains the more important files for the devices. wink

still

I still advice to not experiment with files on device. Sometimes people think that if they did backup of system files they can play freely with device. But often they learn, that you can make device totally unusable by removing or changing something. And all the sudden you can't get it to connect with computer, so even backup is useless. Damaging system files is not this same like damaging user data files.

Other than that backup can't hurt and sometimes may be useful.

Don't Mess With Anything That You Don't Know What It Is

I don't mess with anything on my device that I don't know what it's function is. I delete language files I don't need, photos, installed photos, vehicles and POI's that "I" installed. I leave everything else alone. If you accidently mess with (corrupt) an important file or delete it by accident you may not be able to turn the unit on or boot up correctly and like a previous member stated, you won't be able to download you're saved GPS files. Be careful what you play with and/or delete.
