Nuvi 360 Window Mount Help Needed

Is there a secret to getting the mount attached to the arm of the window holder? I have pushed, pulled and everything and can't get it to attach. I can't get the ball of the arm to insert into the mount on the Nuvi. Nothing in the book tells you how to do this. I know it must be a simple step I am missing. I love the unit but want to attach it to my windshield but can't. Thanks.
Should be simple
It should just snap in. If I remember right, I thought I snapped something when I did it but it was ok.

Make sure your Nuvi is not attached to the cradle. Then line up the ball with the socket on the arm and push. It takes a little pressure, but it will snap in. Then pop the Nuvi onto the cradle.
I don't know where I'm going or remember where I've been...without Garmin.
