Look in your Favorites. They are there. I have a 3790lmt and when I do a route in Mapqust I have to do a trip planner, I have to find the download in Favorites. The location should all be together.

I have send directions form

I have send directions form google map to GPS with no trouble before and mapquest and they all worked ok

You can send

You can send a destination, but you can't send a route which includes multiple stops. Just what are you trying to send?

point a to point b

point a to point b destination no stops maybe I am doing something wrong ???

one or the other

You can send A or you can send B buth both is considered a route and your unit is not capabale of doing routes.

I really lost I have done it

I really lost I have done it before in Goggle map. But now goggle will not work with gps units. I would put in starting point and destination Then send it to my GPS unit. !!!!!

why send a and b

If A is your current location why do you need to send A?

If your current location is nether A or B then that becomes a 3 point route and your unit can't do routes.

I just found the box GPS

I just found the box GPS came in and on it it said it a nuvi 265WT. Someone posted that this would take routes

Which is it?

That is not what you said in the OP, you said it was a 256W

Sorry that was a typo on the OP, no such thing as a 256W.

The 265W doesn't do routes.

As we have stated, the 265 will calculate a route from your present position to the destination but not between two points. To create a route the 265 can handle, send each waypoint to the unit after renaming them to something sequential (1A, 1B, 1C and so on). Then you navigate from your current position to the points in order. As you approach a point, you can tell the unit to route you to the next as a new destination. It's cumbersome, but it is doable.

If you are doing a long journey, you can tell the Nuvi point 1B is your destination, but use 1A as a via point. A little less playing with the system while driving.

Exact same issue with Garmin 2460 LMT

My Mapquest routes are in the GPX folder but never under Trip Planner, favorites or anywhere else?

This is similar to a post by you in another thread from 2011. This thread is from 2012.

I think what you are trying to do is to sent a "route" from Mapquest to your 2460 and then have your unit recognize it and use it.

Seems to me like someone here with a number of various units that respond to "sends" from Mapquest using different procedures would be doing us a great service by detailing the steps (which would then be put into a FAQ) for their own various units.

How do I use MapQuest with my device?
Answer:
MapQuest will allow the transfer of addresses, Points of Interest (POIs), and routes1 from MapQuest2 to compatible Garmin devices. To accomplish this, follow these steps:

Confirm that you have a compatible device
Connect the device to your computer
Download and install the Garmin Communicator Plugin
Enter the desired route or location on the MapQuest website
Click Send To
Click the GPS tab
Select whether you want to send Waypoints (all the locations will show up separately in your device) or the route (the waypoints all as one collection)2
Place a check mark next to the name of your connected device
Click Send
The waypoints or route you selected will now appear in your device. Waypoints will appear in the device's Favorites/Saved list. Some devices require routes to be imported before they will appear in the Routes/Trip Planner menu. To import a route:

Touch Tools
Touch My Data
Touch User Data on some devices
Touch Import Route(s)
Touch Import Data on some devices
Select the MapQuest route(s) you want to import
Touch Import
Once the route has finished importing, you may access it for navigation or editing by using the Routes menu in either Where to? or Tools.

1Sending routes is limited only to devices with multiple stop routing. A route is considered a specific series of waypoints in a certain order (and not necessarily the exact path taken between those points). Additionally, not all multiple stop routing capable devices support the transfer of routes from MapQuest or other websites/computer programs. To confirm that your device supports the transfer of routes from MapQuest or another mapping program, please review the article Which automotive Garmin devices have the ability to receive routes transferred from a computer?

2When a route is sent to your device and imported, the calculated route may not be the same as the route calculated by MapQuest or another mapping program. Although all waypoints should be present and in the correct order, the exact street choices will vary based on many criteria such as map version, route preference, avoidances, etc...
