New Cameras Kissimmee, FL

Yes,your elected officials...

know better than you. More cities will use these to increase safety (cough) with tax revenue drying up. They always say it's for YOUR safety. Great, then donate all the money received and ask the company that installed them to write off the entire cost. After all it is all about safety isn't it and no cost is too great?

I came across this article a couple weeks ago that confirms the first site is installed.

I'm still watching for confirmation on additional sites.

Thanks for the Update

Thanks for this update. I travel to Kissimmee on a regular basis.

Thanks

This will help me next time I visit to Orlando

Are These In The Latest Update?

Have these new Kissimmee camera locations been added to the latest Red Light Camara file update?

what it's for

In Washington DC, people a) stop at red lights b)obey the speed limits c)slow down in work zones

It's foolishness not to. Let's say a person gets a $250 fine each day on the way to work, times 20 work days in a month. Pretty dumb. So guess what the end result is? The above.

imho people are just sour grapes that it's "inconvenient" to have to obey the law wherever a city/municipality decides to put a camera up. One day, when it's like Washington, DC, people will simply obey the law everywhere they go. The uniformity somehow removes the "inconvenience" factor.

DC may have nabbed me last Wed. for 31 in a 25 with a speed cam. If they got me, I'll pay the $75. That's what the adult does. Do I want to pay $75? Of course not. But I believe in the law.

So you just contradicted yourself!

So why were you speeding then?

In another post he was complaining the POI-Factory RLC file wasn't accurate enough.

I wasn't aware that the limit was 25, when I saw the 25 photo enforced sign, sure, I was annoyed that the poi file didn't have it. We'll see in 2-4 wks, if I get a violation. If I knew it was 25, I would have slowed down. 31 imho isn't a cardinal sin, but it is enough to land a $75 fine in DC, which I'll gladly pay.

New Cams

It is good to know about it. Many people visit the area as tourists. It is a good idea to load the gps with the red light cams file. I can see that Tampa/Clearwater/Saint Petersburg has increased its locations. I will be loading my gps with the latest file of RLC.

Drove Through Kissimmee Yesterday

I drove through Kissimmee yesterday. The new red light camera file came in handy and I knew right where every new red light camera was.

Many thanks to all who maintain RLC file here.

Really?

You weren't aware of the speed limit? I bet you wouldn't say that to an officer, or a judge.

In your opinion or not, you were breaking the law. Whether you get caught or not, you were speeding. I think you should send $75 anyway, because you are guilty.
