Favorites Folder

I own a 765t, which I like very much. My only complaint about it, and the rest of them I have seen, is, they dont have a customizable "favorites" folder, or "shortcuts" folder, with easy access to files, via a single button from the navigation screen. I am 60 years old, and bathroom breaks have become more frequent and need to be planned out more than they used to be. I like the POI called "Rest Areas Combined". When we are travelling I frequently like to see how far down the road the next rest stop is, so I am forced to go through several menus before I get there. Have to hit Menu, Where To, Extras, POIs, Fuel/Rest stops, Rest Areas Combined". If I had a favorites folder, or a way of creating a Windows style shortcut to Rest Areas Combined, I would have the perfect GPS. My 765 is slightly older than some of the newer ones. Does anyone know if there is such a GPS that allows for customized shortcuts to a regularly accessed folder? Does anyone else wish they had something like this for easy access to commonly used POIs, music, or whatever? I figure it would require the desired shortcuts would have to be done via USB computer hookup, but that is easily done.

Unless you are the lead sled dog, the view never changes. I is retard... every day is Saturday! I still use the Garmin 3590 LMT even tho I upgraded to the Garmin 61 LMT. Bigger screen is not always better in my opinion.

.

Yes, a shortcut (or two) on the main screen would be handy instead of having to drill down.

It would be nice to see manufacturers listen to users, and provide wanted functions like this.

But they do, my 2460LMT has a customizable menu, I can place some icons of my choice in the main screen so I don’t have to drill down for the stuff used the most.

Sucks how few gas stations still have restrooms and those that do, are filthy.

Nice!

I wish the 3790 had it. Ah well, I'm still pleased with it.

Try keeping your hands on the wheel while using that! I'll stick with tapping the screen a few times.

I do line my POIs up so the Rest Area file is first under custom POIs and has a 2 mile alert. It matches the distance of most of the Rest Area signs.

Older Units dont

I think some of the newer units have shorter steps if you want to. Not sure of the ones that do have the ability to.
