Upcoming Cross Streets on 765T

I read in an earlier post, but can't find it right now, that some of the Nuvis, with more recent map updates have regained the ability to display upcoming cross streets in the green banner at the top of the map view when you are NOT in navigation mode.
Can anyone with a 765T and very recent map updates (the last one or two)confirm whether this is the case or not?
Specifically, when you are just in "map" mode, not navigating a route, what appears in the green banner at the top of the map view? Is it the street you are currently traveling on, or is it the next upcoming cross street?

Some Nuvi and Zumo FIRMWARE updates have returned the feature of putting the next cross street on the banner when not in navigation mode. It is not a feature of the map update.
My Zumo 665 has the feature since the last firmware update a few months ago. Mt 765Ts have not had a firmware update for a while but I suspect the next update will probably bring back the feature.

Just went for a short drive with my daughter's 765T and it does not show upcoming cross streets on the banner. It show the street you are currently driving on as "driving on xxxxxxx".
It has the latest firmware v4.30 and the latest 2012.30 maps.

I have the latest map and firmware update on my Numi 765t and it only shows the name of the street I'm driving on or the street I have to turn on to.

What version firmware and what map version?
No one else with a 765 is reporting that the cross street functionality works.
The green banner only shows the street you are driving on. (Only when you are NOT in a navigation mode).

I suspect that some people say that cross streets are displayed are referring to the display on the map that occurs at some zoom levels and not on the green bar. This mistake has been made before.
It would be nice if the feature of the upcoming street display on the green bar would return. However, I will believe it when I see it.

It has actually come back on some models, through recent firmware updates, but not for the 765 yet. Since it is a discontinued model I don't even know if there will be many (or any) more firmware updates though I have seen at least 1 since it was discontinued.

Sorry for the delay in replying.
I was dead wrong about the cross streets. What I was interpreting as cross streets were streets that I was to turn on while in routing mode.
When I am in just map mode I am getting, as you suggested I should be, "driving on xxxxxx"

Well not really, but at least everyone with the 765T is the same. Maybe there will be another FW release soon that brings the cross streets back.
I got the cross streets back on my zumo 665 with the last FW update last October, I think, and it is a pretty nice feature.

Just replaced my 765 with the 3790. The upcoming cross-street is back on the new model. It's one of those features that I missed and I am very happy to see it back.
Unfortunately Garmin still doesn't support US ZIP codes.

Yes.. back on on the 3790 but gone again on the 3490.
I dont' know yet about the 3590, but I'll bet it's still gone on the 3590 as it is a very, very micor upgrade of the 3790. Mostly has a larger screen.
The upcoming cross street is one of my favorites features.
That... plus more detail being displayed.
