Microsoft Streets & Trips with GPS Locator 2011

I usually replace Streets and Trips every couple of years. But for $29.99 ($31.50 CDN) I might give 2011 a try.

I was not too happy about some of the changes in 2010. I was unimprssed with the darker perimeter, and especially the 3D push pins.

Is anyone aware of the improvements in this version?

I love printing maps from MS S & T to accompany me on routes. I also tend to get it every other year and if the MS S & T release pattern holds the 2012 version should be out around March.

The mentioned deal is a good one and includes a mini GPS locator to plug into a laptop USB port for $29.99.

Improvements that is. The $29.99 price isn't bad for the GPS receiver, from everything I've read on the reviews there was no real change with the exception of maps (which are still 2 - 3 years old) and more POI with bad locations. There are about 6 businesses supposedly located in the apartment complex near me and another 3 or 4 in the single family homes i my neighborhood.

about getting the 2011 is if you don't have the GPS with the version you have that is a good buy. I up date every year but only the maps . Am thinking about waiting for every two year ans box car stated the maps are still old. They just update the program woth new features.

I just ordered 2011 with GPS - my S.O. will enjoy it with the laptop when we're travelling as my 1490 is mounted high on windshield just left of RV mirror and she can't read it.
Had also bought the XGPS150 to use with my iPad but that has limited capabilities with the existing iPad apps.

It was time to upgrade my S & T anyway since I had 2009 version.
