High Winds
We have had high winds all night and still going on now till 10 pm tonight. Trucks over trees and power lines down. I lost a few shingles from the roof about 2 hours ago. Oh well can't do anything today so will set back and watch football tonight and have some one look it the damage tomorrow.

just a note
I Had the opportunity to visit with charlesd45 and his wife. We met in Ft.Myers FL. at the World Sand Sculpting Championships.
Charlie you and Sandy are the nicest folks I have met from typed conversations, bringing us into a friendship within the realms of reality. Now you know know the secret of this cranky old man.
I hope you can share the Pictures you took with the PoiFactory of the sand sculptures.
We really enjoyed meeting you Bob.Thanks you for showing us around the Sand Sculpting Championship event.Plus the information on the techniques used to keep the sculptures in place.Nice to meet someone from the site and start up a new friendship.By the way we didn't find no cranky old man.Only a very nice person who is well informed. Here is a link to the Sand Sculpting Championship pictures.Hope the members enjoy them https://picasaweb.google.com/101880206106227469160/FortMyersFL112611?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCOXf4ZXan5acoAE&feat=directlink
The elephant and woman, won the peoples choice.
Like we didn't know that was going to happen.
Monday morning 11/28 they all became recycled into white beach again.

Home again
Back from a Turkey Day trip across the pond. Great time with friends. Even managed to snag a Thanksgiving Day dinner (sort of - turkey and cranberry sandwich at a pub) before the jet lag caught up with me.
HD
I prefer WD profesionally and personally. Put them into ruggedized applications, so I'm happy with them. Seagate is my second choice.

Michigan State In The Championship Game
Game of the weekend is the Big Ten Football Championship Game at Lucas Oil Stadium (Indianapolis, IN), Saturday night, 8 pm ET on FOX. Go Michigan State Spartans !
Got our first measurable snowfall this week, not enough to shovel, but enough to signal the beginning of winter season (no more warm days for a while).

It is snowing
here. The first real accumulating snow this year. Time to test the new snow tires when I drive in to work tonight.
@Miosa
I also stick with Western Digital hard drives for the home. They seem to last longer than other brands I've had.
Maxtor
Been a Maxtor guy for years. They have never failed me yet!

Seagate
I've had great luck with Seagate drives, both internal & external. The only drive failure I've had (knock on wood) was a Hitachi laptop drive, but the replacement Hitachi drive has outlasted the original.

Utah
We are still cleaning up from the wind last week. Going to get my roof fixed next week I hope/ Spring and fall are the best times to see the parks as they can get crowed in the summer.
johnm405 660 & MSS&T
And Hot
Being mostly in the southern part of the state, they can also get pretty hot in the summer. We loved Zion & Bryce. Walter's Wiggle was a challenge in my 40's... not sure I could make it in my 60's. But it was a spectacular view from Angel's Landing. Glad I got to see it.
