560LMT

With all the recent discussion of the 2012.20 maps and the JV files -- where does my 560LMT unit fit? This is a GPS meant for use in trucks. Is there a Nuvi "equivalent" or perhaps a "sibling" that the 560 is similar enough to?

Have you updated to 2012.20?

Since your 560 supports Lane Assist with Junction view, if you have updated to 2012.20 you should be able to look at your files and see how large the .jcv file is. If it is bigger than 100 MB, you probably got one of the larger files with good coverage. If it is closer to 50 MB, you got one of the crippled files with sparse coverage.

If you got the crippled file, you could try one of the larger .jcv files for the nuvi's. My guess is that it will work on your dezl unit too, but it is just a guess on my part. Just make sure you back up your dezl before you replace anything. You can find the links for downloading the larger nuvi .jcv files in other posts on POI Factory.

Since there are not a lot of dezl users on the forum, someone has to be the first to try and hopefully will report their findings back on POI Factory.

My guess

My guess is that for all Garmin GPS models that offer Junction View in non-split-screen JV mode and with a 4.3" display, they can use the new large 752MB JCV file--while models that use split screen JV displays or have a smaller or larger display than 4.3" may experience issues with the newest largest jcv file.

This does need to be confirmed by other users.

446 Mb

After upgrading to 2012.20, the .jcv file was 446 Mb. I moved that file to my computer, and replaced it with the 752 Mb file.

Originally, when I would get a Junction View display, I'd get a split screen, with JV on the right, and the map and data on the left. With the 752 Mb file, I get a full-screen junction view, and the data is not shown until the junction view disappears.

Not sure I like that, it makes it pretty hard to keep up when you have a "keep left to I25 and then turn right" -- as the right turn doesn't appear to show in junction view. I'll probably go back to the 446 Mb file.
