LA Shrugs Off Red Light Camera Tickets

Motorists who get tickets under the city's controversial red-light camera program can shrug them off, Los Angeles officials agreed Monday.

Should have kept the 660

I'd like to know who the Huckleberry Dillinger was, that made "that" decision...

That is why I have kept my 660 running. I use the mp3 player a lot on long road trips. My cases of CDs are collecting dust since I don't have to lug them around any more. All my music fits on the SD card and takes up zero space in the car. No more shuffling CDs in and out of the player.

Don't know what I would do if the 660 died.

Wish I still had mine, brought the 3760 for the lifetime maps, & the trip planner, should have brought the LT maps for the 660, as the trip planner is only just OK.

Thought I'd be different

I'm forever reading negative comments about Garmin Support so I thought I'd give them a big "Thank You" for the support they gave me when I was having a big problem with Mapsource the past week. After 1 e-mail response which took about 2 days and suggestion which did not solve problem I called them - got a real pleasant lady (about 20 second wait)who re-directed my call to the proper tech. After about 1 minute of the tech having me try things he requested permission to link into my computer and try things with my Mapsource directly.
I granted permissions and within 2 minutes he had found the problem and corrected it. He was as pleasant as could be!
I just want to say "Thank You Garmin" for the great and friendly support.

13hours with my 760!

Had a great 13 hour trip with the family and the Garmin 760 -- I love the MP3 player... all 13 hours and not one repeated song!

I have to wonder why they removed this feature from the newer models sad

You have to wonder why they removed any features that every body likes. I have an 855 with nice features that I use, bought a 3790lmt and those feature are not in that unit. I had to look at the 855 to use what I wanted. Kept the 855 just for that reason.

Not so fast

Good idea to shut the rlc 's off, but if I read the article right:

-collectors can still call on outstanding tickets, even if there's no enforcement behind it
- some LA cities may still have an active rlc program
- It was reported in the media that if a current rlc citation in LA was ignored, while there may be no current enforcement, the courts may still retain a record of that infraction. Should a motorist then receive another citation, when they try to settle that, the prior rlc ignored issue might then "need to be addressed". smh

What a week

My husband is restoring a 55 Chevy BelAir Hardtop.

I put the headliner in for him this week. It was a job.... Have never put one in with listings and bows and after starting it it looked like I couldn't do it. I keep at it and it is in, looks great, and no wrinkles...My husband loves it!!!

Started it Monday and finished it yesterday at 6 pm...

Hope you all had a great week..
