Happy Monday

Have a great week!

Monday

Well 2 more days and then it is back to work - I could get use to 2 day work weeks (as long as they paid me for 5 days!)

Great Week !

Have a great week everyone. Spent the day cleaning the garage, straightening things out, power washing the floor. My, my it looks great! It's ready for the winter snow and salt to muck it up again. LOL

What a horrible day.

I just hope it's not a precursor of what will happen this week.

Beat the Heat

If you live where it's hot & humid (which is just about everywhere lately) make sure you drink plenty of water and do overdo! Have a great, safe week.

Ventura

Greetings from the beaches of Ventura, CA. Current temperature is 70'. Compare that with home, which is Palm Desert, which is currently 106' and high humidity to boot.

Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Benefit for Autism

Did my yearly volunteering for night track motorcycle security saturday midnight to sunday when the track opened. Its surprising to see the number of people that think they can sneak onto the race track in the wee hours of the night.

Staying up all night is a little tougher on the body the next day (or 2) than it use to be when I was younger.

Rain. . . If Only . . .

. . .After needing it for so long, I could now use a little break. There's a lawn out there that plainly could use a good mowing. . .

over

the past weekend summer returned here to our part of the world. It seems it is brief anyway.

A Great Beach ...............

I don't know if you know it, but St. Maarten (Netherlands West Indies) has some fantastic beaches.

But there is one that is known world wide which is located at the end of the airport runway -- Maho Beach on Beacon Hill Road. (N18.039348, W063.120272)

The planes land so close to the beach that they can part your hair or give you a back rub with their wheels.

If not that, then please enjoy a calm day at the beach on the sand.

Bring back the mp3 players...

I don't know how anyone else feels about this issue, but Garmin doesn't offer any GPS units, with mp3 capability anymore,

I'd like to know who the Huckleberry Dillinger was, that made "that" decision...

That is why I have kept my 660 running. I use the mp3 player a lot on long road trips. My cases of CDs are collecting dust since I don't have to lug them around any more. All my music fits on the SD card and takes up zero space in the car. No more shuffling CDs in and out of the player.

Don't know what I would do if the 660 died.

I feel the same. I think I am going to have to replace the battery soon as it doesn't hold a charge as long as it use to, but don't want to give up the MP3.
