need help with mapsource please

Not sure how your unit works, but with my Zumo, once I have it connected to my PC, I click "Receive from Device" to load them into MapSource.

Are you asking if you can use MapSource to "simulate" a route. You can't do that that I'm aware. You'd have to use your GPSr and as you've seen it's real-time. You can, however, use the Route Properties box to "step through" the points in a route. Does your unit support routes?

Yes, MapSource will not read gpi or csv files. You would need to convert them to gpx and open them in MapSource to view them.

You can use MapSource to create POI files. You can use it to get the coordinates of a point or address. You can use it to help you "plan" your route even if your unit doesn't support routes you can see where the route will go.

lets see... I did try the "Receive from Device" but told me that I have nothing to receive.. Again I do have favortes but seems that it dont know they are there.

I did create a waypoint and sent it to my device and it created a GPX? file in the proper folder but No "Curent.GPX file is there.

No my unit is the C530 (same as the C550 but without the mp3 stuff)

It would seem that I am better off using the web for my batch find for the cord. I would hate to load in 1 address at a time.

I really wanted to use it to test the cord. that I do get from the web to make sure it is true in place of guesing if it is right or not..

How can I create a POI file using MapSource..

I dont know, seems to be easyer to just do it by hand with CVS (TEXT) and finding the locations from the web tools..
