I'm lookin' for a Nuvi to replace the 750.
I want a 5" screen and lifetime maps.
I was looking at the 2450 LM, but I'm concerned about reviews saying the processor is slow and screen refresh is slow.
What say you? What is your experience?

good review
Thanks Brad, I had my eyes out for this unit and I'm glad you liked, just added to my Amazon Wish List, now all I need is a long trip (non planned in near future) or the price to drop before I order.

5 inch screen may not be the best screen
The 3790 (37xx models) has much higher screen resolution
800 x 480 pixels.
A high resolution screen lets you see more - and this might be more important than 4.3" versus 5.0"
My thoughts..

I considered the 3790 and I went with the 2460 for the larger screen because the screen is going to be at least arms-length away from me and I figured the larger screen would be more of a help than the higher resolution.
The $100 difference in price also helped me stick with the 2460.
I didn't actually play with a 3790, though. I'll admit: it is a pretty unit. I really like the glass screen. If they had a 5" version of it I may have been on board.
My only other concern was processor speed. I really don't know the difference between the 3790 and the 2460 in these terms but figured that 'newer is better' and that the 3790 is over a year old and if they bumped up the processor in that time then it would be in the 2460.
