I have a kenwood dnx5120 with garmin. I've done the upgrades to 2011 maps, added a bunch of poi's (thanks to this forum) - but I find that I rarely use my gps.
How often do you use your gps units?
All the time
It's mounted and connected in the car all the time, so if I'm driving, it's turned on. If for nothing else, the RLC warnings around Long Island, but sometimes I'll even use if I'm going somewhere I'm familiar with, just to give me an idea of when I'll arrive, and a reminder that I don't miss a turn while singing along with the radio.

Used to use it too much
If that can be possible.
But it used to be that I wouldn't leave the house without my keys, wallet, Swiss Army Knife and GPS. And I would be most rattled if I forgot the GPS.
But I realized that I was becoming dependent on the GPS, as in I was actually losing my ability to navigate with my brain. So I've backed off a bit.

Always On
If I am in either the car or truck, the Garmin is on and in use. If I'm not in a vehicle, frequently use the GPS and Google Maps in the smartphone to locate people or places.
So, I guess the simple answer is, "all the time!"

GPS Use
I use it almost all the time whether on the car or the motorcycle.
Always in the car
Always in the car
Rarely
I'll use it when going on vacation (twice a year to Florida) and when adventuring in an area I don't know well so I don't get lost and nailed by a speed or RLC.

I use my gps every time I drive anywhere. I have had had decent results with traffic notices. I didn't listen to it one time when it told me to get off and spent 2.5 hours stuck on Floridas Turnpike waiting cause of a serious accident.
everyday
I used it mostly for traffic.

Nearly Every Day
I use both my hand held marine Garmin GPS and my Nuvi for my vehicle on a nearly daily basis.
Only time I don't is if I'm completely off from work which means I'm not driving and shooting photos, doing video, fishing, writing a column, working on my book, or all of the previously mentioned, which can be a typical day for me.
If I still owned a boat instead of kayaking and shore fishing here in Florida, I'd have a boat marine Garmin unit as well and I'm sure it would get used at once a week.
usage
I actually like using it for stats, but I notice the 2350LMT doesn't track seconds--they must have made a decision that we're all govt. workers and rounding is close enough! So I use it less. I actually bought a new one so as to use red light cam alerts, but on my commute, I obviously already know where they are...
How often
If I'm going somewhere saved as a favorite, I use it all the time. At least it tells me about when I will arrive.

I use one in my sports car as a speedometer. The old speedometer in the car is in MPH and not very accurate. The GPS is switchable and always right on.

Not very much
Only if I am lost or going to a place that I have never been before.
I feel turning on GPS is a distraction if I know how to get to the place I want.
I try and use mine as often
I try and use mine as often as I can especially during traffic. Love my FM traffic updates. It does help sometimes.... other times not so much lol!
How often?
I use mine every time I get into the car. I don't use it because I don't know where I'm going but for the Bluetooth Hands Free I use for my cell phone.
The GPSr is also on though. I use the POIs for Red Light Camera warnings.
always......
I try to keep the RLC file updated. Cameras pop up around NYC at any time. Thanks.
Ironically less and less
Ironically less and less after I bought it as traveled less and less. Its like an anti travel device for me.

I use my new Garmin 3790T locally to learn how it works and it is great but I am paying too much attention to the new toy and not the road and making myself a promise that I must stop doing that.
All the time
I use my Nuvi all the time. One of my daily drivers is 7 years old and the chip that controls the dash (speedometer, tach, fuel, and temp) lasts about a year in the Phoenix heat. At $700 a pop, I quit getting it fixed and instead use my Nuvi as my speedometer. Been doing this for the last year and it works like a charm.

How often do you use your gps????????
almost daily. I'm trying to get 100k miles on it. I travel mostly on planes and get window seats so I can rack up the flight miles as well. I've had my Garmin 1490 for about 8 months and have 45659 miles on it.
I even used it on my recent trip to the Persian Gulf.

This will be my 11th Phoenix summer and I've never had a chip go bad on and of my vehicles. Must be some defect with the model.
GPS usage
I use it mainly for the traffic updates going home from work.

Can't put it down...just love to hear the different voices .. just love to look at it while I drive.

Frequently
I support 24 offices and a few "extra" spots covering the northern third of California. I use my nüvi 760 whenever I have to travel for work. My brain is a sieve when it comes to directions. The GPS gets me to my offices and back without fail. I also listen to books from audible.com on the GPS. The nüvi 760 which has that capability. When I have to travel for work the books make the drive much better. My Eureka office, for instance, is a 5 hour drive - one way. Listening to my book makes that drive interesting rather than simply a long and boring drive. It also alerts me to the red light cameras in unfamiliar towns and to the upcoming rest areas - which can be very important on long drives.
I also use it whenever I go out of town for personal reasons. I've used it on trips to Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Oregon, Washington, etc. I'm never lost with my trusty nüvi. Jack always seems to know the way. Last weekend I used it to route me to Fort Bragg and directly to my hotel. My wife and I did a fair amount of geocaching on our way there and then on our way home. I use my 78S for geocaching but also put the info on the nüvi so my wife has all of the cache information at her fingertips. Using both GPS units when geocaching together is GREAT.
I just gave my 76CSx to my daughter so I currently "only" own my nüvi 760, my wife's nüvi 200, my 78S, and the GPS built into the 2011 Ford Taurus Limited. I don't really have a lot of use for the one built into the car but it is kind of handy in that it shows local gas prices and such if I look for them. I didn't actually pay for that one so I don't mind having it. (I made them give me $1,000 off the price of the car because I didn't want to pay for another GPS I didn't need. They wanted to make the sale so they dropped the price.)
GPSMAP 76CSx - nüvi 760 - nüvi 200 - GPSMAP 78S
Car or motorcycle - always on
I use it for work going to different jobs in many different cities and locally its always on with a destination in play so I will get the earliest possible notice on traffic delays.
I don't have a traffic antennae on the Harley but I do set up POIs for all our trips.
So, if I'm in or on a moving vehicle, so is the zumo.
