New to POI stuff... POI Factory and all things dealing with adding stuff to my Garmin Nuvi 205W.. It is in the mid 30s here in "Brisk Maine" ... almost to Canada here in Presque Isle.
Glad to be here.. glad to be registered... its all new to me but looking forward to enjoying the comradere and the learning curve !

This is day 14(or is it 15) of the so called JarHead fire in the Big Cypress east of Naples, Smoke fills the air, the smell of one huge campfire, and the sounds of the hacking and coughing. Ah yes, South Florida in the Fire Season.

Yesterday, before the afternoon sea breeze finally kicked in we got to 95 at the house. Sea Breeze kicked in and the temp dropped about 14 deg in an hour. Ocean water temp ain't that warm yet !

Car serviced, GPS(s) loaded with latest available maps & My Favorite Custom POIs (of course that includes the Rest Areas Combined file), a paper map for all states & provinces we will drive thru, EZ Pass mounted to windshield, lots of quarters for laundromats. Bottled water, ice tea in trunk. XM radio and iPod all set. Motel reservations all made.
Just waiting for the green flag to wave.
