I have a bridge for sale in Brooklyn that you can put tolls on once you own it. You can also display the body from 2001 once you exhume it. I am sure the author of the obituary can direct you to the grave smile

Shame is they shot this guy in the head. This guy deserved a fate as those he is responsible for having ordered killed. Blindfold him and push him off the building replacing the ones he took down. Let him ponder on the way down when his time will be up just like he did to thousands. Cruel? Yes, but very well derserved.

Sadly, Not the End

The death of Osama bin Laden does not end the threat of terrorism. But, at least for a moment, it does give people some sense of justice.

Stay vigilant

Finally catching up to him is good news but could mean a ramping up of terrorist activities in the short term as a way of retaliating, so don't relax too much.

BRAVO!!!

It's been a long time coming. I can't help but believe that there were many protecting him in Pakistan & I don't mean just Al-Queda.

To believe this will end Al-Queda is a mistake. We must remain even more vigilant with their operatives in all parts of the world. They'll be looking for an opportunity for payback.

Fred

God Bless America

As a youngster during WWII, I saw several of my older siblings and many of my close cousins & neighbors go off to protect us. Several came back severely wounded and one maimed.
Then I was old enough to serve in the Korean Conflict for 4 years.
Then I was heavily involved with the military with defense contractors during Viet Nam and Desert Storm.

I never witnessed any time where we wanted anything else but to attempt to make a better world to live in.

We "ain't" perfect but we've tried hard to be right.

I am still very proud of My Country and it's military

While I would've preferred to have him alive so he could stand trial and then be executed for his crimes... to suggest water boarding or "other games" is incomprehensible. At what point did we sink to the level of the terrorists? It was an elite group of professionals that took him out, the US Navy SEALS. I'm am grateful that our military stands tall and proud at their professional behavior. Let's leave barbaric techniques to others.

With 35 years in the US Navy, I'm proud to say that no one I know would ever participate in such nonsense.

I too am a Korean war veteran, and my background closely parallels MrKen's, and as I recall, even back then they didn't want to call it a "war". It was called "Police Action".
And like MrKen, I also have never witnessed a time when the US wanted anything but to create a better more peaceful life for humanity.

Hopefully there won't be 10 more people ready to step in to take OBL's place. Sooner or later they must realize that they can't win in the long run. A small bit of justice has been served.

Do not repay evil with evil

In reading a number of these posts, I am distressed by the low level to which we are sinking.

“Waterboard and play other games with him”
“May he burn in hell!”
“Burial at sea? Now let the sharks pick him over...to Hell with him!”
“Blindfold him and push him off the building replacing the ones he took down”

I do hope that God will bless America, BUT I thought of some quotes from Lincoln who is supposed to have said

“Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God's side, for God is always right”

And

“I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live by the light that I have. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.”

I believe we must be true to our values or else those who are against us will be able to point to our moral decline as reason for attacking us again.

I must "part" with many of these posts.

Need Google street view to confirm. However, Google maps and Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Location_of_Osama_bin_Laden is showing it at

It's just off Awami Road in Abbottābad, Pakistan. That compound is within walking distance to Margis Arif Hospital, Jinnah Hospital, and Usmania - a seafood restaurant.

Like the Marine sniper tee-shirt says, "Go ahead and run, you'll only die tired."

It's time

Finding and killing OBL is certainly not the end of terrorism, but finding the "face" of 9-11 is important symbolically and is good for the morale of the united states. It's about time we have something that looks like a 'win'.
The SEAL teams did an amazing, incredible operation. The commander in chief should go to their base and decorate them.
I hope someone of Tom Clancy caliber will write about it.

But I"m also wondering if they found him using the stored lat/long data from OBL's smartphone.

Wish we had caught him alive

So he could be the towel boy and cheif dropped soap fetcher in the showers at our worse super max prison

Justice

has been served! God Bless America!

If OBL has been dead since 2001 - prove it. To the same degree of certainty it would take you to believe the recent events were true.
