It's a shame we don't have him alive to water board and play other games with him.

Our country must go on HIGH ALERT and stay there for quite a while to protect the citizens of the USA! And we all have to do our part in watching over each other to keep each other safe.

Whether you believe me or not is irrelevant. The fact of the matter is that he's dead, one way or another. I simply believe that the government has lied to its citizens, using the boogeyman Bin Laden as an excuse to destroy this country from the inside. The troops didn't sit around idle though. They had to bring "democracy" to people who didn't want it in the first place. *rolls eyes*

I don't think anyone

I don't think anyone deserves credit for this, since the man has been dead for a decade now. But what do I know? I'm automatically wrong simply because I don't step into line with the majority and accept the government's version of the story.

P. S. To the poster who told me to leave the country if I don't like it, I would if I could. However, it's far more rewarding to fight and return this country to the greatness it once had. Greatness squandered by the self-serving politicians infesting Washington.

We could consider the King James Bible (Mat 5:38 - 39)
Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

However, I will just point out that neither you nor I is the Lord; and, it certainly was not the Lord that chose Team 6. It would be my belief that the Lord loves us all and wants to reconcile each of us to him.

While I would've preferred to have him alive so he could stand trial and then be executed for his crimes... to suggest water boarding or "other games" is incomprehensible. At what point did we sink to the level of the terrorists? It was an elite group of professionals that took him out, the US Navy SEALS. I'm am grateful that our military stands tall and proud at their professional behavior. Let's leave barbaric techniques to others.

With 35 years in the US Navy, I'm proud to say that no one I know would ever participate in such nonsense.

From Wikipedia
"Waterboarding is considered to be torture by a wide range of authorities, including legal experts,[4][34][35] politicians, war veterans,[36][37] intelligence officials,[38] military judges,[39] and human rights organizations.[21][40] David Miliband, then United Kingdom Foreign Secretary, described it as torture on 19 July 2008, and stated "the UK unreservedly condemns the use of torture."[41] Arguments have been put forward that it might not be torture in all cases, or that it is unclear.[16][42][43][44] The U.S. State Department has recognized "submersion of the head in water" as torture in other circumstances, for example, in its 2005 Country Report on Tunisia.[45]

The United Nations' Report of the Committee Against Torture: Thirty-fifth Session of November 2006, stated that state parties should rescind any interrogation techniques, such as waterboarding, that constitutes torture or cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment.[46]

72 Virgins

Do you think he will be mad after he realizes no 72 virgins will be waiting for him?

OBL is dead

343 New York City Firefighters died on 9/11, among them twenty of my friends and co-workers. About 250 people jumped to escape the flames of the World Trade Center. Each one took about two minutes to reach the ground. One of them hit Firefighter Dan Suhr, Engine 216, and killed him on his way in to the Towers.

OBL deserved everything he got. Congratulations to the Navy Seals for their professionalism and dedication. This is war. The intelligence that enabled the Seals to do their duty was crucial to the success of their mission. Dan Suhr would have been proud!

I realize that you feel quite strongly about this. I hope that you have not had friends and family in situations that have caused these strong feelings.

Still, I submit that we must respect the conventions which nations have agreed upon or suffer the consequences of the loss of our ability to lead based on our adherence to certain moral standards. Probably will not qualify in your eyes, but I had to make the decision as to whether or not to remove a feeding tube from my mother who had Alzheimers. I was at her side when she died a week later.

Last December, I had to make the decision to remove the respirator from my step-father in law who was considered to be brain dead. The doctors said that he would probably succumb in a few hours but - having cared for him for some 10 years - I felt that would not be the case. I stayed with him for his last 36 hours.

I do not personally claim any "moral superiority" - I fall short of the goals I set for myself. Still, I think I know what is right and am striving to do the right thing.

Justice is one thing - revenge (vengence) is another. I still am hoping that we can all rise above our emotions and, by doing so, make this world a better place.
