Now that I have thought
about this event, I believe his followers will now be moving events that they have been planning, to happen sooner on their calender! Our country must go on HIGH ALERT and stay there for quite a while to protect the citizens of the USA! And we all have to do our part in watching over each other to keep each other safe.

As a youngster during WWII, I saw several of my older siblings and many of my close cousins & neighbors go off to protect us. Several came back severely wounded and one maimed.
Then I was old enough to serve in the Korean Conflict for 4 years.
Then I was heavily involved with the military with defense contractors during Viet Nam and Desert Storm.
I never witnessed any time where we wanted anything else but to attempt to make a better world to live in.
We "ain't" perfect but we've tried hard to be right.
I am still very proud of My Country and it's military
and will continue to say:

My Dads' brother (my uncle) went down on the Arizona. My mother was a Navy nurse at Pearl Harbor when we were attacked. She met my dad (Navy) when he was hurn at Pearl Harbor. I served in Viet Nam and my wife served in Desert Storm. I have a brother-n-law in Iraq serving as well. God bless all the military for serving their country and God Bless America. We might have a lot of faults but I still say it's the best place in the world to live. For me, it doesn't stop the terrists but I am glad this happened.

I don't think anyone deserves credit for this, since the man has been dead for a decade now. But what do I know? I'm automatically wrong simply because I don't step into line with the majority and accept the government's version of the story.
P. S. To the poster who told me to leave the country if I don't like it, I would if I could. However, it's far more rewarding to fight and return this country to the greatness it once had. Greatness squandered by the self-serving politicians infesting Washington.

At what point did we sink to the level of the terrorists? It was an elite group of professionals that took him out, the US Navy SEALS. I'm am grateful that our military stands tall and proud at their professional behavior. Let's leave barbaric techniques to others.

343 New York City Firefighters died on 9/11, among them twenty of my friends and co-workers. About 250 people jumped to escape the flames of the World Trade Center. Each one took about two minutes to reach the ground. One of them hit Firefighter Dan Suhr, Engine 216, and killed him on his way in to the Towers.
OBL deserved everything he got. Congratulations to the Navy Seals for their professionalism and dedication. This is war. The intelligence that enabled the Seals to do their duty was crucial to the success of their mission. Dan Suhr would have been proud!

Last December, I had to make the decision to remove the respirator from my step-father in law who was considered to be brain dead. The doctors said that he would probably succumb in a few hours but - having cared for him for some 10 years - I felt that would not be the case. I stayed with him for his last 36 hours.
I do not personally claim any "moral superiority" - I fall short of the goals I set for myself. Still, I think I know what is right and am striving to do the right thing.
Justice is one thing - revenge (vengence) is another. I still am hoping that we can all rise above our emotions and, by doing so, make this world a better place.
We tell this to our kids and grandkids; we need to listen ourselves: two wrongs do not make a right.

While that is a very difficult decision to make as I and many here are aware, we rationalize and justify the decision by knowing in our heart that we are being merciful.
Making a decision in combat is different, as are other situations where the innocent might suffer is also quite different.
