Data Error in current OFFBEAT TOURIST ATTRACTIONS

I am aware of the issue at this time and in contact with poi factory. There sees to be a issue with the cssv ver of the file on the site. just d.l the gpx and you should be fine.

I, or poi factory will let all know when it is fixed. sorry for the inconvince at this time..

BTW your only missing about 3 to 5 lines of data with is not much.

When I click on "My Favorite

When I click on "My Favorite Files" the only options I see are "Garmin CSV" and "Tom Tom OV2"

All I did was just download it... and then open it in Excel...

The Poi Loader version “had to do with it” in that errors in 2.6.0 caused Jon use a filter that alters csv files as they are being downloaded from Poi Factory. Apparently the csv files are being truncated by Jon’s filter and happens before Poi Loader is used.

The csv files should download ok once Jon takes the filter off.

BTW: Otherwise, the version does matter ; Poi Loader 2.6.0 is known to have errors and should not be used. If you have 2.6.0 you should replace it with 2.6.1

Now that 2.6.1 has been out for a while, going back to sending the original files without fixes should eliminate a lot of these odd truncation issues.

I will look into this.

I removed the workaround for POI Loader 2.6.0, which was modifying CSV files as they were downloaded.

This should fix the odd truncation issues we've seen with a few files.

Let's do some testing and see if this change works as expected.

Works fine

I just downloaded and opened the file using excel. I got 6235 lines. No truncation.
I have not loaded it to the GPS yet, but I am sure it will work.

Just downloaded my Offbeat file and looked it over. All the lines are now there and is looking good at this time..

I downloaded the csv file and Poi Loader 2.6.1 reports "successfully installed 6235 custom POIs ..."

I'm at work, and used IE7 to download... Excel sees 6235 full lines!

Same at home 6235 full lines 9Firefox V4.0.1... It will be fine with POILoader V2.5.4, I'm certain. The problem was getting it here..

Just don't use v2.6.0 if you still have it. (And if you do, delete it!)

MAN.. for a While there...

I thought it was me.. This file has grown so big but now I just have to keep it up. There are to many folks out there that use it and love it.

I am so glad that my hard work is paying off in the love and how much folks are likeing the file.

Thanks to all that are enjoing the offbeat file and that tell me that.. it keeps me going.

I almost stopped doing all of the files but every once in a while you guys give me the inpriration to continue. tell all the other poi contruibtors the same.. That is why we do it.. to know its being used and are happy with it.

Parodn my spelling.. been drinking lol and not really looking at screen while typing. and now spell checker at this time..

Have fun.. BTW, Look for my neat BIG project.. I am sure all will love it ..
