POI Loader will load GPX files as Custom POIs so that they show up under Extras.

Load them the same way you would load CSV files.

Be sure to use POI Loader.

And be sure NOT to copy the GPX file to your Zumo or your Zumo's SD card.

They (gpx)were in the same folder in my computer as the csv file ie diners,drive'ins and dives, but wouldn't load into the poi "extras" folder in the zumo with the csv file using garmins poi loader.
What am I doing wrong??

Did you get message so many pois loaded at the end or a error message?

Poiloader would show the error message.How do you have the files set up?All in one folder or do you have categories set up with subfolders?If all in one folder how many files do you now have in it?

You may want to try and remove all the other files temporary and just load the gpx file with poiloader to see if it shows under where to,extras and touch custom pois last.

When I download the file, it loads as a MapSource file not a gpx.
What am I doing wrong?

where to find??

Just take the gpx file and convert to csv using Extra Poi Editor.If you want it as a csv file .You can load the gpx file just like you do the csv file using PoiLoader. http://www.poi-factory.com/node/1995

I am new to all this but found it today. Worked to convert gpx to csv.

give it a try, it is a Garmin work of art and very simple.

Converting my H-D Dealers.gpx file to a csv file is a terrible idea. I've taken great care to ensure that the gpx file has all the data fields included that the Zumo can display. A csv file is a limited subset of that. If the gpx file is saved in the same folder as your other Custom POIS and the matching bmp is also saved there, you should see that loaded.

Run POI Loader in Manual mode if you are having a problem. You'll find where it is failing, most likely on one of your csv files that has data errors.

The gpx file can also be opened in MapSource or BaseCamp.
