Four Year Club Membership

WooHoo! My account status just changed to 3 years and 52 weeks. Guess that means I'm just minutes shy of membership in the Four Year Club.

Wow - A four-Year Club ?

I want to join... Like, right now ?

But I guess our beloved Admins won't agree, and I'll need to wait another few weeks and even months...

Ah, I'll try and survive that long, if only to join that select crew !

I didn't even know there was a 4 year club. Something to look forward to in 46 weeks.

I (and I'm sure the other four-year members) would gladly welcome you to our midst. The truly sad part is that in 46 weeks the Factory and the most elite among us will have moved out of this club and into a five-year club. wink

Walking into the club house is awesome. There are the founders, Miss Poi and Jon; the senior general [maintainer] Robert F. Breuning; personal heros Retiredtechnician and Motorcyclemama; and many peers. I'm glad to be a part of it. Thanks to all of my congratulatory well-wishers, those who set the course and of course those Factory members who are now bringing new ideas and support to the Factory.

We could call it the full of bull award;) Goes right along side the COW award.

Miss POI

POI Awards

Are you saying POI Factory will begin offering longevity awards? B.S (in honor of the bull); M.S ( more of the same); and Phd (piled higher and deeper)? Works for me.

miss poi wrote:

Miss POI

I believe the term BULL was also used by those guys working in Wall Street. And before anyone strikes me with the Justice lightning rod, I can prove it. See here from Wikipedia:

The terms bull market and bear market describe upward and downward market trends, respectively, and can be used to describe either the market as a whole or specific sectors and securities.

See ? One can have a lousy sense of humor, and yet have some general knowledge... Oh dear, I just done it again - outshot myself right in the foot... It hurts !!

Badge

Maybe a badge with the number 5 on it for those active members that reach five years. Have a badge for each 5 year increment for active members would be cool.

Nice!

"Five" don't make much sense here - but was that your goal ?

DrewDT wrote:

I know being a member for 5 years is like reaching an Elite, and I'm working on it as hard as I can, one day at a time. But would some Incentive be possible ?

We'd have the number of years appear as a badge. And I also recommend that the frist ones clearly illustrate the growing in respect that is deserved for those members smile

The first badge could be diapers or something in that idea, the second badge would be a bit better, and so on.

Oh - and as I recall, our beloved Miss POI has been here for 4 years and 29 weeks. No need therefore to create badges for multiples of five... Or were you trying to create an unreachable target ?

And this also means we only need to worry about a max of five badges for us old badgers - there, I knew I'd manage to place that one in here grin

I'll let you all simmer on that proposal, while I collect the missing eight weeks for my Diapers Badge of Honor. I just can't wait............

I agree, "a longevity" pin would seem to be in order.
