route calculation error on 885T

I have a nuvi 885T and recently started getting a "Route Calculation Error". Everytime I enter a location the unit starts the route calculation but always ends with the error. I have called Garmin and they walked me through a reset procedure, that did not fix the problem. All maps and firmware are up to date. Any ideas on how to fix the issue?

Since the unit software is up to date, I'd suspect a bad map download. Try reinstalling the maps.

Tried reloading the map
Tried reloading the map software but it did not solve the problem. Looks like it is time to pay Garmin to fix this unit or buy a new one.
