Strange POI Icon Problem

I compiled multiple POIs and saved them to my hard drive. I copied the same files to the SD cards on a zumo 660 and on to 2 765T GPSs. All of the icons show on both the 765Ts but only some of the files show icons on the zumo 660. It isn't the zoom problem. All of the bmp files are 8 bit, 24x24.
Icon is OK in these files on all GPSs -
Rest Area, H-D Dealers, Walmart, Grainger
Doesn't show on the zumo in these files -
Massage Envy, Radio Shack, Home Depot, Lowe's, Holiday Inn, Best Western, PA & Ohio Covered Bridges
There are other files but the list is just an example, but I'm just confused. If the icon was compiled into the file and works on the 765Ts, why won't it show on the zumo?
All GPSs are up to date with firmware and maps.
16-color
I saved the H-D Dealer.bmp in Paint, using Save As, 16-color, on Win7. The Zumo 660 only displays that color resolution.
I opened the one for Home Depot on this website and Paint Save As shows it as 256-color which the Zumo 660 won't display.
Zumo 550 & Zumo 665 My alarm clock is sunshine on chrome.

You just made my wife happy thinking her 765T is better than my zumo 660.
Looks like that's the problem. Everyone not showing is 24 bit color. I'm opening them all up in Paint and lowering the resolution..

question
New to custom poi's and noticed that in the rest stop poi page there are icons and sounds. Do these have to be put on the gps somehow? Ive loaded the csv file with poiloader but didnt do anything with the icon or sound files. Searched but couldnt find anything about icons other than changing the vehicle icon.
