Sending Favorites to SD Card

I appreciate the ability to send waypoints from Google Maps to the GPS and have them appear in the favorites.

I've sent waypoints from Google Maps to the SD Card instead of the GPS itself, but then I can't find them on the GPS. It creates a .gpx file in the \Garmin\gpx directory on the SD card, but then I can't find the waypoint on the GPS, and it is not included when I transfer waypoints with MapSource. POIs sent to the SD Card are processed normally.

What am I doing wrong?

.

You have to import them to the nuvi.

I have no idea of where you went wrong but I just now sent a Google Map waypoint to the sd card on my 255W via the Garmin Communicator Plugin in Internet Explorer and it showed up in the Favorites right away.

When I send from Google Maps to my SD card, it puts them in the GPX file, just as you said. Then I disconnect my 1490t from the computer. When the 1490 boots up, it copies the point into the favorite file. Just search "where to"> favorites and you will see it.
