Thought I read some where here in the forum, that we can update more then one of our Garmin's with one map purchase, is this true? and if so where was the post.

You have to buy one map per gps.

You could only do this before Garmin came up with the web update thing. That was a long time ago.
Today, you can only transfer lifetime map to another unit only if Garmin replaces your defective unit under warranty. But, it is still one map to one unit.

You may have read that if you have a paid map update for two units - each with their own product ID that you are able to update both units with the same download.
