not sure if you guys had seen this. this isnt something new though i wish they implement this in the big cities (especially my hometown of montgomery county maryland).

so thinking this is a great idea. Rather than cash, they could give you a discount on your next registration or license fee. That way the bureaucrats will not see it as an "outflow" of $$$!
Pardon my skepticism
In Montgomery County, they'd probably hand out 1 award or reduction of fee & figure that's about enough. The County is so far in the red, budgetwise, that they're truly looking at all sources to enhance revenues. The new idea for D.C., as I posted from the Washington Post, was to use similar devices to hand out tickets at pedestrian crossings.
I'm wondering how long it will be before citizens get very angry at the existing devices & that from a person who obeys the law.
