dirs did not work

i made sub dirs on my computer ie, truckstops, highway exits, when i run poi loader and select the main folder where the two dirs are it loads them ok but when i look at the unit where to,extras pois they are all still lumped together...im looking to do something like when you go to where to,auto services,(it gives you catagories to choose from ie rent, repair, carwash. this is how id like to set up my costom pois ,...... can this be done ..... i have a 3790t model.......thanks

i did follow this

i did as it said and it still created one big file and it was not broken down by catagory

Post example of how you have

Post example of how you have it laid out for just a couple of categories.

her it is

on my computer...

main dir...mypois

sub dir.. truck stops
poi file ..petro
poi file.. pilot
sub dir ...statehighway
poi file ..co highway exits
poi file ..il highway exits

when i point poi loader to mypois it loads them all but it just creats the big poi file instead of displaying the sub cat ie truckstops, state highways..id like to do this so i can just select say truckstops and it will have the in that ...instead of haveing to scroll down the big list looking for the perto file....again something like auto services,,,fule, wash, repair etc

It looks like you have it

It looks like you have it right.Do you have your computer set to show hidden extensions?Possible you have double extension. If you don't have computer set to show the extensions and you type the extension csv or gpx you will not see the extra extension.

My pois=main folder

truck stops=subfolder
petro.csv
pilot.csv

statehighway=subfolder
co highway exits.csv
il highway exits.csv

There is a post some where that I have not found yet.Showing you have to pull the usb cable from the gps instead of the normal dis-connect process to get them to load. Not sure if a new update has came out for a fix to this.Maybe a 3790 user can comment.

Use POILoader in manual mode

Use POILoader in manual mode. If you have things set up correctly you should have to respond to the loader for every subdirectory you've specified. If the loader doesn't stop and wait for your response for each subdirectory, then you haven't done something correctly. If the loader does stop and wait for your response, then it's got to work.
