removing all saved favorites...PLEASE HELP!!!!

I have a garmin 465t and am getting a new job. I have saved some 400+ delivery spots into my garmin. I want to know how to delete these off of my unit without having to manually do it one at a time. I have already tried deleting the current.gpx file, but when I disconnect the gps and power it back up, they are still there. Any thoughts?

Are they pois?

Are they poi's or are they favorites? Favorites are in the current.gpx. If you created a poi file then they would be in poi.gpi

I saved them the first time

I saved them the first time I went to the location, so I think that would make them favorites.

Deleting Favorites

Try going to "Tools," "My Data",

and then "delete Favorites".

BINGO!!!!! Thanks for the

BINGO!!!!! Thanks for the help, I didn't want to have to delete them all one at time!

to be safe of all your

to be safe of all your favorites deletion, connect your GPS to your PC and go in the folder named GPX\ (it is on your GPS) and delete any other gpx files such as temp.gpx if it exists.

If you use mapsource to upload these favorites originally, it saved as temp.gpx, then from temp.gpx it converted to current.gpx.

Best thing to do is to delete all the *.gpx files within that GPX folder, because there is another gpx file which stored all your trip logs (bread crumb of where you been).

Another suggestion

Now that you've successfully delteted your Favorites, I have a suggestion. Instead of saving all of your destinations as Favorites, you might consider adding them as custom POI's. Adding and deleting customer POI's is a piece o' cake and you can sort them so they display on your GPSr in some logical order.

.

I use EPE to open my faves on the Garmin, and then save them in my POI files to load on the card. A very handy backup if things go south on the device...
