As I use it on my normal riding around, I find it to be better than 2011.2 and 2008.
It is faster on recalcs, and in general seems to be faster.
The routes it sets out are also very good. It also seems to calculate a route that is the fastest-and-not-the-longest-length, leaning more towards fastest. Not a pure fastest-but-long-length route. I rarely use the "shortest" option since it goes on itty-bitty town roads that are just not practical unless going just a very short distance. Even I don't use my GPS for going around the neighborhood. And I haven't had a need to use the "shortest" routing over a significant distance.
You know how Google Maps shows a couple options, and they have trade-offs between time and distance? Well, I usually go with a route that is close to the fastest (less time), but not as long (distance). Sometimes, the fastest route will be the longest distance, if not one of the longest. I try to pick a route that reduces miles too, not just time.
So it appears that 2011.3 has gotten a little smarter, or at least the way I like to choose my route.
