This is another youtube video demonstrating that speed & redlight cameras are not installed for safety reasons but as a revenue generator. Lockheed's contract with Phoenix was renegotiated because the yellow lights were too long, causing fewer accidents. It proves that the goal is to make money, not reduce accidents.

We all knew this before and so does the media & public but it does not seem to make a difference.

Lockheed was the original creator of the speed camera/red light camera but they sold that business off near 15-20 years ago.

It's like those private companies run the government. Sad.

Are you saying that the government isn't being truthful? That's hard to believe. wink

That report is what we've

That report is what we've all known from the beginning.
The pressure from the contractor is in a preexisting contract. They are not telling them to reduce the yellows. Its the city that did it to fulfill the contract. The city made that call.

I hope more reports like this make it out.
