Detouring Around certain points in a route on a 1490

There doesn't seem to be a way to do this through the standard menus. Anyone know of a secret way to bypass a particular road in a route? I had this great option on my 2720, but not on the 1490.
Sounds like a great feature
I had to go to the SP2720 manual to see what you were talking about. While it did not show me how, it indicated I could avoid certain roads or ramps - which would be great in the case of road construction.
However, there does not appear to be a similar feature on your 1490 based on my reading of the manual.
Routes
IIRC you can create a "Route" using waypoints around the places you want to avoid. Not very elegant but it works, sort of.
