adding proimity alerts on nuvi 3790t

sorry if this has already been asked. i searched and could not locate the answer. i am trying to install proximaty sounds for a few poi's and keep geting a message that the sound files will not be loaded. i have renamed sound file, icon file and poi file to all the same name and I am loading them form the same file. can someone help? I did purchase a few voice files from pig tones and they installed fine. I would like to get the red light camera program from this site as well but if i cant load sounds it wont be much use. thanks for the help guys.

Your unit will not play mp3's so to get the voice alerts you need to use wav files along with sox.exe.See http://www.poi-factory.com/node/25730 . See http://www.poi-factory.com/node/25721 for custom pois.

Why don't you go thru some exercises that should help. Go Here and do exercises 1, 2 , 4, and 5

If you are asking about sox.exe.You put that on your computer where poiloader is located.In my case I click on my computer,local disk c and click on Garmin folder and paste copy of sox.exe there.Make sure you unzipped it first.
