I HEARD YOU CAN ADD A FM TRANSMITER TO THE NUVI TO PLAY THROUGH THE RADIO. I GOT ONE AND I CANT SEAM TO MAKE IT WORK. ANY IDEAS?
Ok, Don. First of all please don't type in all caps. It's considered shouting.
Now, did you plug the FM Transmitter into the 3.5mm jack on your Nuvi?
Is the FM Transmitter turned on and getting power?
Now, check to ensure that the FM Transmitter and your radio are tuned to the same frequency. Usually works best on a frequency that isn't being used by a radio station in your area. If one doesn't work, try different frequency.
sorry about the shouting thing. yes i think i have
tried different settings. what i wanted it to do is
when it is giving me directions i could turn the volume up on the radio so you could here it while you are on the freeway.
Can you try each of the different frequencies that the FM Transmitter has available?
Note that if you are in an FM dense area with a lot of radio stations, it might be hard to find a frequency that works well.
There are ones that you can tune into any frequency. You may want to try one of those instead of the 4 or 6 preset ones (if that is the type that you have).
make sure that you have the garmin turned up a bit, but not too loud or it will distort.
