On a 265T, is there a way to have it announce turns earlier? I found that the GPS sometimes call out the turn too late. For example, on a highway to exit in 600m. When you are moving at 120km/h, it is a bit of a rush to change lanes in that distance.
.
Are you updated to the latest firmware? Other than that, there is no way to change advanced warning time.

Just a quick glance at the unit after making a turn will tell you what the next maneuver will be. That should give you plenty of time to prepare unless of course the turns are one right after another.

slow down?
When you know a turn is coming up soon you may want to try slowing down....

36 seconds
You should get a first warning about an upcoming turn 36 seconds before that turn. That way you have a greater distance before the turn when traveling at higher speeds. If you are on surface street and your next turn will come less than 36 seconds from an earlier one, you'll get an announcement like "Turn left on Main Street, then turn right." so you can be in the correct lane for that next turn
I have occasionally found my 260 giving short notice, but this is very rare. If your unit is regularly giving you very short notices for upcoming turns you should contact Garmin.
