stuck in a small southern town
We were on a trip from southern Colorado to the Fl. coast and our RV was having some problems-noises- we stopped only because we saw a sign on a fence(Warning ,never trust anyone who has a car shop and uses their fence to hang it but, I guess it's how things are done there. This place was on a hwy 168 just out side of Boaz. The house looked OK but they tried to hide all the junk cars with trees and having a white picket fence around junk cars? really now. The woman was in her 70s and her husband or brother was in his 70s maybe close to 80 don't know for sure. Anyway we pulled in just to ask a question really about where is the nearest koa camp ground was and our gps said turn by turn so forth. No more had we finished asking a question we were asked what we thought about the world conditions!!! What?? so now instead of just a simple question about a fan belt my husband said it was the bible this,the bible that. They belong to some church that has been said to be a cult. They had an RV too in their r.v.garage but the woman was too???!!!f-u-n-n-y-weird maybe being with a place in the south with cults everywhere,who knows. the point is, don't stop at a place with a sign hanging on a fence even if the place is made out of gold,its what is inside the house that counts. We found-thank goodness a place in Boaz called Abby's? and got our belt replaced with no problems and found a RV place too.
