Yes, Yes, No
charlesd45, hundreds of times using multiple browsers since the thread began, as stated in my multiple posts.
Mama, Yes, and am using the latest version & everything is turned off for that site. As posted above, there are problem with the way the javascript is written, hence the errors reported.
Since things used to work for me and now they don't, I would imagine that Garmin changed something that doesn't work with newer versions of java. My suggestion is if this works for you now, DON'T upgrade your java.

Answer from Garmin
As I mentioned earlier in this tread, I wrote to Garmin on August 1st about this problem and they asked for my PC specs, which I sent to them.
Having not received any answer since then, I wrote them again a few days ago and here is their answer:
I am sorry for the troubles. They are not currently working that issue at this time. It may remain down for some time. I suggest you use another service like Google Picasa to upload your geotaged photos.
Again I am sorry for the troubles. Please let us know if you have anymore questions.
Like I told them a few times, I repeated to them that what I wanted was to download pictures directly to my GPS and they then sent me the following answer:
I'm sorry for the troubles. If I hear anything on the progress I will send you the information. Let me know if you have any other questions.
So I think that all of us who cannot access Connect Photo, we can forget about it. They are not working on the problem and they do not seem to care about it.

Try safe mode.
I can't use garmin connect photos because my gps is not on the list, but...
Has anyone tried launching their browsers in safe mode? Safe mode disables plugins and tool bars. Those will create issues with loading some pages.
Firefox safe mode: Start/All programs/mozilla firefox/safe mode.
To disable addons in IE: Go to tools/manage addons/ click on each addon and disable it.

pwohlrab, you're the man... I am able to properly load Garmin Connect Photos with Firefox in safe mode. Thank you very much.
Previously I had tried with all plugins disabled and it did not work.
Thanks again, it works with Firefox in Save Mode.

Hate to be the wet blanket of this thread, but nope. Even that did not solve the problem for me. Still doesn't work with IE, FF or Chrome.
I just tried it on a work computer too running a different version of FF over Linux. Looks exactly the same for me as it does on my home computers.

I too have been tearing my hair out for over a month trying to get help from Garmin on this same issue of being unable to see the Google map on the connect.garmin.com/photos site. Unfortunately, the excellent suggestion of starting FF in Safe Mode did not work for me either. I hope you all will continue to try and isolate what the exact problem is ! I've also tried with my Windows Firewall disabled - no help. What is it about the Garmin consultants and their office computers that seem to have no problem looking at the San Francisco example on their screens but that so many of us cannot duplicate ? Even after a 3-hour session with one friendly consultant linking to my computer, no light was shed on what the differences are. There MUST be some settings (important ones) that differ. Good luck to you all who know much more about computers than I do.

To Get That Garmin Photo Page Working
I just ran across this thread.
For those of you who are still having trouble with
https://connect.garmin.com/photos
loading a page and 'freezing' on a San Franciso display with blank boxes and you can't go on -- TRY THIS EASY TIP. (I'm using W7 SP1 w/IE8)
When the box appears that sez 'Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely?'
...instead of selecting 'Yes' as you normally would, select 'No' -- and the page will load correctly for your use.
You will still be connected with https://connect.garmin.com/photos
when you do.
