New Cars

Not sure if this has been asked before.
If we drive a brand new car with no license plate and got snapped by RLC, what happens then? How will they find out who the driver is or who the car belongs to? Btw, in case you're curious, no, I'm not planning to do that. I have never had a brand new car in my life.

Two options.....

While I just recently found out there are exceptions, most states require you to have a temp. plate on the car which is traceable back to you.

In places where that is not required or if you have just removed your plates......I think they are screwed.

And I've

And I've never lived in a place where you didn't have to have real plates on the vehicle BEFORE you left the dealership. So sorry, can't answer your question grin

Enjoy that new car smell as long as you can!

I don't think license plate

I don't think license plate on a new car is mandatory in California. I've seen so many brand new cars roaming around the streets/freeways of Los Angeles with no license plates.

Oh btw when I said I'm not planning to do that, I meant I'm not planning to buy a new car (and/or run a light with it). No, I still have no new car sad

temp plates

Most states use a heavy paper temp plate that is ususlly good for a short period of time. Most people stick the plate in the rear window of the cae to keep it out of the weather. With the angle of the rear window glass and the glare of the flash at night, it must be very hard for the cameras to get a picture of the plate. crying
