Totally Against Light Camera..!!

I'm totally against any type of light camera. evil

There's too many ways someone could be justified in running a red light, yet receive a ticket via the light camera. mad

That being the case, there's no way the camera can show the underlying situation/circumstances surrounding the incident! sad

I'm not really lost.... just temporarily misplaced!

The problem with the cameras

The problem with the red light cameras is all they do is mail a ticket, they don't prevent an accident, they don't stop anyone from hitting a pedestrian in the cross walk.

They just generate revenue.

Want to make sure they stop, put a darn train gate on that traffic light and that will slow them down. cool

Call me paranoid but . . .

I just worry about malfunctions like with this one new camera a few miles from my home that flashed pictures of literally every car that went through the intersection for about a week, including cars that had a green light.

Talk about a traffic hazard. More than one person hit his brakes in the middle of the intersection 'cause they thought they were going through a red light and about to get T-boned.

I don't trust camera-calibration on the right on red thing either.

Traffic Cameras a Money Maker

It was bound to happen. In Collier County the first offense for running a redlight camera was about 62.00 at the time they were sold to the County it was to stop Crashes where people would run the lights and T-Bone another car. Then it was pointed out that there was an abnormally large amount of tickets issued for people who were making Rt. Turns on Red (legal in Fla.) A number have been issued because they passed the white line. When it was brought up the County was told that if they stopped issuing tickets for Rt. Turns on Red the Company would pull the cameras (Money maker for the Company). Now the State of Florida has passed a Red Light Camera Law with the fine set at $155.00 State wide. The State gets $75.00 the rest is divide between the County or City and the Red Light Camera Company. - Money Maker for the State.

These things suck

I think they should be made illegal.
