IQ routes in 730 vs. 740

I've tried searching the net to no avail. So I hope this isn't a repost.

Apparently, the 740 now uses time of day in addition to day of week for its IQ route calculations.

Can anyone confirm that whether the TomTom 730 has hour-of-day IQroute calculations? or is it only day by day?

Thank you very much smile

It Is Based on the Map

I saw your post in gpsreview.net, which is also where I go to get answers from the experts. wink

For those of you who have not been there, the answer is that it is based on the map. Here is what was written by dhn, "Time of day routing is known as IQ2 and yes, the 730 models with maps 815 or higher and the current application (8.35) use IQ2".

That goes for the 720 (upgraded to a 730), 920 (upgraded to a 930) and the 930 (which I have) also.

Not ALL maps in an issue have IQ. EX, 845.2645 has it, but 845.2648 does not.

Neither the 720 nor the 920 have to be "upgraded" to a X30 for IQ to function.

Thanks...

Thanks for the correction tendriver.
