strange WX
A mix of normal good golfing wx and a touch of the strange.....this past week. Periods of rain and chilly temps,when we are used to being in the 70's,made it a little tough for the PGA pros playing here this weekend. Rain again today,cancelling out my regular Monday golf *sigh*.

Just returned from Costa Rica
I requested a GPS for my car rental in Costa Rica. The rental agency provided a Garmin 205W. It worked well except for some out of date POI's and the missing roads. There is a new highway, 27, that is a toll road not in the GPS (it wasn't on the paper map either) that you can take to Quepos & Manuel Antonio. Other than that it worked great. The roads in Costa Rica usually don't have names. They are known by a destination town. So instead of addresses, you have to enter a place as you destination.

Unfortunately we got 3" of snow this morning in Lubbock, TX...great moisture for the cotton farmers...but enough is enough! We've had a long, cold & wet winter...need Spring to show up!
