newbie question

Welcome to the site njdriver04 .You have to zoom in to see the icons.They will show once you get close to the arrival point as well as other custom icons you have located in the same area.

You can do either one. They will show on the map if you zoom in close enough; they can be accessed in the Extras menu, and the POIs will act the way you loaded them with Garmin Poi Loader. If you ran Poi Loader automatically, you will get a proximity alert chime when you are within 1320 feet of a POI.

To check your icon.Touch where to,extras,custom pois,select one of your custom pois and you will see map at bottom.Touch map and you will see the icon.If you want alerts for your custom pois you will need to run poiloader in the manual mode to set a distance or speed.You also may want to look at http://www.poi-factory.com/node/25721

Go to view mp, then You have to zoom in to see them. I know its annoying, I had the same issue when I first started adding custom POIs. I wish there were a way to see them when zoomed out.
