Poiloader.exe and sox.exe

I recently was in Gary Haymon's nuvi tricks, tips web site trying to find out why my boa doesn't show the boa symbol or boa ahead anouncement doesn't work. I know from the past when someone sugested I make sure all three files are the same and I checked again and found that the mp3 and bmp had a single underline at one point and the cvx had a double underline so I did fix them at this time and will check it out later. However the web site was talking about having only one poiloader file loaded on the harddrive ( I do and it is in c:\Garmin ) and I should have the latest sox.exe file also. I could not find that file anywhere on the computer. How do I find this sox.exe to download it on my computer.

Gary, if you read this you have emailed me a couple of times in the past, I wasn't sure how to contact you through your web site.

Thanks for anyones help at this time.

Brian

The sox.exe is for units

The sox.exe is for units that can't play mp3 and use wav files instead for voice alerts. Some user do use wav files to fix skipping problems that have mp3 capability.See http://www.poi-factory.com/node/25730 if you really want to use wav files.

See http://www.poi-factory.com/node/25721 for custom pois.

THANKS for sox.exe!

I searched and searched how to add voice alerts on my 255wt. Then I found sox.exe. A BIG thanks to Gary and the rest of the crew on this board who offered assistance through their posts to others!
